TYRO was birthed in a prison visiting room by the Tijerina family. Through their firsthand experience with incarceration, they recognized the need to discover a new way of living.
30 years later, TYRO is an industry leader in character development Re-entry programming, meeting the needs of prisons and participants, creating a lasting-impact in families’ legacies across the globe.

TYRO Leadership is a powerful 20-hour course, typically taught twice a week, that transforms lives. Every evidence-based lesson strengthens character and resilience—equipping individuals to become leaders others want to follow.

Brandon Tijerina is the CEO of TYRO Support Services, where he leads the organization with vision and dedication to empowering individuals and communities. With a passion for building meaningful connections, Brandon cultivates new customer relationships while strengthening existing partnerships to expand TYRO's impact. He is passionate about developing innovative products and resources that align with the organization’s mission.
Brandon takes a hands-on approach, managing exhibits at events and facilitating impactful trainings across the United States. These trainings, conducted in prisons, companies, and schools, inspire transformation and foster personal and professional growth. Under his leadership, TYRO Support Services continues to make a difference in lives nationwide.
