TYRO (Latin) – Novice, learner, apprentice. Someone learning something new – from the latin, a “tiro” meaning a young soldier or recruit.
The TYRO Program, Led by TYRO Peer facilitators or a TSS Partner Organization, is a 20 hour course, taught over 5 weeks.
The TYRO Program’s hybrid approach blends authoritative teaching with active engagement, ensuring clear understanding and fostering critical thinking and personal connection.
